2019 Community Gathering

Date/Time
Date(s) - Saturday, 28 September 2019
10:30 am - 4:30 pm

Location
Engineers' House, Clifton Down, Bristol

On 28th September there will be a Comminity Gathering for sharing thought, discussion, and meeting together in the light of today’s political tension and uncertainty: Brexit, populism, the Climate Emergency, Extinction Rebellion, and other features of our present world.

All of us are impacted ourselves and yet are also in roles (such as therapists or counsellors) where we are supporting others who are in various states of confusion, distress, anger, cynicism, or denial. How can  we best support others when we have strong feelings ourselves?

Malcolm Parlett has agreed to shape and facilitate the day.

This Gathering is in place of the 2019 Marianne Fry Lecture “Surviving War Trauma”, which was to be given by Jasenka Pregrad, who is, unfortunately, indisposed.  Those who had booked a place at the lecture and have not cancelled have a place at the Gathering.
